Jordan Valley School District is now hormone free

....... In the milk, that is. That is a start.

Today my outreach has included FARM TO SCHOOL which provides healthy local produce to schools and some ot the Utah's Own companies to see about sourcing local food for my vending machine business and to serve in to the students in general.

Utah kids don't have a choice

As a mom of 2 with the oldest about to begin kindergarten I have been researching Utah's public school lunch program.
The school district which my daughter will be attending has an "F" rating from Physicians Committee For Responsible Medicine.

In my research of the the school lunch program I would have to agree with the rating.
There are no organic menu options and there are no milk substitutes available.

I understand it is primarily first and foremost the parents' responsibilty to provide healthy food choices.
